Here are the all-time top ten posts in this blog:
Title Date Published No, of Visits
Prayer for the World 19 July 2017 110
Arcanum Zero 30 Sept. 2017 94
Morning Sky 28 May 2018 91
Gymniad XXIII - I Do My Best 4 Jan. 2018 87
gado-usdi aya 11 May 2018 84
Rumer 8 Oct. 2017 82
I Will Be Guided 13 Oct. 2017 80
Happy Birthday 5 Oct. 2016 79
Gymniad XXX - Reflection 12 Jan. 2018 79
Gymniad LI - Ancestral Campfires 24 Jan. 2018 73
This morning I reviewed these posts, looking for commonalities or a pattern, whether in the poems or the illustrations. As to subject matter, these are all over the place. Prayer for the World and I Will Be Guided, both sound rather religious. The former, one of my own favorites, is illustrated with a scene from nature, and the latter with a photo of a Durga statuette. Prayer has translations, while Guided has only a Hindi translation.
Arcanum Zero is political, illustrated with a Tarot card, and no doubt appeals to the hope that the current nightmare will soon end, as it predicts.
Morning Sky is a very dramatic photograph--no poem needed.
The Gymniad series, which is about nudity and its significance in my life and for the world, is represented by three posts. XXIII, I Do My Best, is accompanied by a quite immodest, but natural, nude selfie. XXX, Reflection, is illustrated by a not-very-revealing nude selfie, and LI, Ancestral Campfires, has another immodest nude selfie. The poems, it seems to me, are of average quality, and were probably boosted by the subject or the illustrations. The last two are accompanied by translations. Of the many poem series in the blog, Gymniad has been the most popular. I'm relieved that it is not more dominant in this list than it is.
"gado-usdi" is in Udugi, not accompanied by a translation. Personally, I think the high number of visits was a fluke. The illustration is a photo of Native American jewelry/craft items. Fluke or not, I've been surprised by the warm reception the Udugi language has received, both in the US and in Europe.
Rumer is one of my own favorites, so I'm glad it's on the list. It has translations, and is illustrated by a nice beach photo.
Happy Birthday has been on the top-ten list ever since the blog was started. The poem is nice enough, but I think the success of the post is mostly due to the illustration, a lovely photo of my mother when she was in her twenties. My mother was quite a looker when she was young, and was often compared to movie stars of the time, such as Maureen O'Hara and Rita Hayworth. Some of these visits were, no doubt, from family members.
The blog posts have had 42,537 visits, and there are 1,116 posts, so the average number of visits per post is about 38. I'm hoping that this number will go higher. Thanks to all of you for your interest and support.

SèSikal (the "digit of the moon,") is a "nectar" said to drip from a certain point in the sahasrar. Prakriti is the "primordial matter" of the cosmos. I'm happy to announce that this poetry blog has now had 42,000 visits since its inception in early October 2016. The blog should really be called "You Never Know What's Coming Next," because I certainly don't.
I feel that my Udugi work is basically complete. I've given that language to the world to bring linguistic hope to those who most need it, and they can use it or not, as they see fit.
How these poems arrive, and where from, is a mystery. Often, the catalyst is a word that comes to me in a dream. For example, four days ago the word "etxea" came to me in a dream. It means "the house" in Basque, a language that I don't speak, but have studied a little. The result, the next day, was a poem about how the world is our house, and we should not destroy it.
Often these catalyst-words come to me in a language I don't customarily speak. If the language is other than English or Spanish, the languages of the mundane part of my life, I assume that the word or idea is coming from far away. Last night, for example, the word that came to me was "corrompu," which in French means "corrupted." I have no idea what, if anything, this will lead to.
The most exciting thing, for me, is when the catalyst arrives in an ancient language, such as Latin. I usually interpret such cases to mean that the idea is coming to me from far back in time, perhaps a past life.
Other catalysts for poems include photos I've taken, usually that same day. This is a form of inspiration that I like very much.
Much of the blog is about my spiritual journey, which is alive and well, I'm happy to say. I have no idea, though, where it will lead, either.
Thank you all for your interest in and moral support of my writing.

Lo que es importante
es que estamos en
este misterio juntos,

Je n'ai pas de nom,

My Use of Social Media Platforms
I stopped using Facebook to promote my blog posts (or for any other purpose) at the beginning of 2018, but I am using it again, selectively, now. I had several reasons for leaving, but the main one was FB's ridiculous censorship of non-sexual nudity. I'm a naturist (have been for about forty years), so there is a lot of nakedness (mine) in the poetry blog. By the way, a lot of progress has been made recently in normalizing nudity, and I think Facebook and Instagram are the only major platforms that still ban it. I've never used Instagram, but I post to FB if the illustrations don't contain nudity. The ones that do, especially the series Gymniad, Gymnós, and Gymnosophia, are mostly absent from FB.
While I was away from Facebook, my use of Twitter increased, and it was there that I first introduced posts in the Udugi language, with or without translations. It appears that I now have serious students of the language, most of whom are following me on Twitter. Except for that one subject, I usually get a bigger response from Facebook.
For years I have also posted on Ello. It's full of artists and designers, along with writers and photographers, and has a nice look. Unfortunately, its user base is small.
My poetry blog is hosted by blogspot, which is part of Google. All of my blog posts also appear in Google Plus.
Many years ago I used a platform called Tribe, which I liked, but it unfortunately no longer exists.
My recurring dissatisfaction with Facebook caused me to investigate other platforms. The best alternative I've so far found is JoinDiaspora. It appears to be based in Europe, and its user base, which is not huge, is mostly European. I've found most users there to be intelligent, cultured, and congenial, and it has now become a regular destination for my work.
I post under the following names/IDs on these platforms:
Google Plus: Don Traxler
Facebook: Donald Traxler
Twitter: @dtrax42
Ello: @dtraxler
JoinDiaspora: Donald Traxler
And of course, the entire contents of the blog, going back to early October of 2016, can be found here: donaldtraxlerpoetry.blogspot.com. I'm happy to say that the blog has now had more than 41,000 visits, from many countries.
