sahazas Sam tà dam no gatshe,
yatshi no pra:vakh mukti: da:r |
salilas lavan-zan mi:lith tà gatshe,
toti chuy dvarlab sahàzà vètsa:r ||
The Supreme is not attained
merely by meditation
and self-restraint.
Wishing does not open
liberation's door.
Even though one has
become absorbed
like salt in water,
even then it is hard
to know
the Self-born.
