लक्ष्मीः पद्मासना दॆवी पद्महस्ता हरिप्रिया | 
श्वॆतरूपधरा दॆवी ईश्वरी वृषवाहना || 11 ||

lakShmIH padmAsanA dEvI padmahastA haripriyA |

shvEtarUpadharA dEvI IshvarI vRRiShavAhanA || 11 ||

lakShmI, the goddess dear to viShNu, is seated on a lotus, with lotus in hand.

White is the form possessed by the goddess IshvarI, who rides on a bull.

dEvIkavacham 10

नारसिंही महावीर्या शिवदूती महाबला | 
माहॆश्वरी वृषारूढा कौमारी शिखिवाहना || 10 ||

nArasiMhI mahAvIryA shivadUtI mahAbalA |

mAhEshvarI vRRiShArUDhA kaumArI shikhivAhanA || 10 ||

nArasiMhI is great in heroism, shivadUtI is great in strength,

mAhEshvarI is mounted on a bull, and kaumArI rides on a peacock.

dEvIkavacham 9

प्रॆतसंस्था तु चामुण्डा वाराही महिषासना | 
ऐन्द्री गजसमारूढा वैष्णवी गरुडासना || 9 ||

prEtasaMsthA tu chAmuNDA vArAhI mahiShAsanA |

aindrI gajasamArUDhA vaiShNavI garuDAsanA || 9 ||

chAmuNDA is standing on one who is dead, vArAhI is seated on a buffalo,

aindrI is mounted on an elephant, vaiShNavI is seated on garuDA.

dEvIkavacham 8

यैस्तु भक्त्या स्मृता नित्यं तॆषां वृद्धिः प्रजायतॆ | 
यॆ त्वां स्मरन्ति दॆवॆशि रक्षसि तान्न संशयः || 8 ||

yaistu bhaktyA smRRitA nityaM tEShAM vRRiddhiH prajAyatE |

yE tvAM smaranti dEvEshi rakShasi tAnna saMshayaH || 8 ||

Those who always remember her with devotion will have success.

O Queen of the Devis, you protect those who remember you, of that there is no doubt.

न तॆषां जायतॆ किञ्चिदशुभं रणसङ्कटॆ | 
आपदं न च पश्यन्ति शोकदुःखभयङ्करीम् || 7 ||

na tEShAM jAyatE kiJNchidashubhaM raNasaN^kaTE |

ApadaM na cha pashyanti shokaduHkhabhayaN^karIm || 7 ||
