Gospel of Thomas 50 in English and Udugi ꭴꮪꭹ

Saying 50: Our Origin and Identity

Jesus said, "If they ask you, 'Where do you come from?' tell them, 'We've come from the light, the place where light came into being by itself, [established] itself, and appeared in their image.'

"If they ask you, 'Is it you?' then say, 'We are its children, and we're chosen by our living Father.'

"If they ask you, 'What's the sign of your Father in you?' then say, 'It's movement and rest.'"

tsisa hinegise, "iyuno nasgidv adadvdodase nihi didla 'hatlv nihi nvlase nidvlenvda?' kanohedu nasgidv didla, 'itsula nvlase ulvsada nidvlenvda, hatlv ulvsada gesvise udenvta uwasaquu vhnai. nasgi gadogise ale agadudesdise nasgine unatseli nasgiyai hawina.' iyuno nasgidv adadvdodase nihi didla, 'nasgi gesvase nihi?' nahiyui hinegu, 'itsula gesvase niyotlidi nasgi vhnai, ale itsula gesvase asuyesdita aquatseli alenidohv edoda gvdodi.' iyuno nasgidv adadvdodase nihi didla, 'gado-usdi gowelodo nihi edoda vhnai nihi hawina?' nahiyui hinegu, 'nasgi gesvase adanvsido ale atsawesolvsdo.'"

He is a man of extremes,

both dark and light,

forever combining

the day and the night.

Janis on the Astral

This poem will eventually be read on Youtube, accompanied by some simple live-looped music, similar to my vid "Janis in the Window," which has been out there on Youtube for a few years now. Anyway, this is what I've got, so far.

Janis on the Astral

Running loose on the Astral Plane,

I found a place of trippy memories:

curious things, close to hippie hearts,

rare, out of style, the shop did contain.

I knew that Janis had been there,

and would come again if I should wait.

I tried to send her a message,

and indeed she saw it,

but has not, as yet, replied.

[It never occurred to me at all

that Janis Joplin had died,

for such does not happen,

on the other side.]  Repeat.
