You have to look closely
to see that the piece of shale
has faint impressions
of ancient flowers
on both sides.

You have to look closely
to see that the piece
of igneous rock
is actually a two-edged
stone knife.
It wasn't used much
before someone lost it.
No pockets.

You have to look closely
to see that the shale
was also worked
to use as a tool.
