Clear Channel

The episodes of this life
have formed a conduit
through which knowledge
can pass.
If any of them
were not present,
the gravity lens
would be weakened,
and focus lost.
Every life
must be lived,
every day
and every hour,
to keep the channel
clear.

My sis, Patricia, on why stealing has become "normal:" "It's the Trumpian win-lose culture--ethics, morals, and the good of your fellow humans has never been any part of it for them. It's just all about winning, and that means doing whatever you have to do to win, no matter who gets hurt."

O You Who Have No Culture

O you who have no culture
but the culture of greed,
lying, and deceit,
we will bury you
with our new culture
of love, respect,
and truth.
If there were a hell
other than the one
you're making,
We'd send you
straight to it.
But you will have time,
if not freedom,
to consider
your foolishness
as you diminish
past the point
of invisibility,
not worth
our time
or consciousness.

I Can No Longer

I can no longer bury myself
in books and ancient languages,
falling back on a patriarchal culture
that is killing us
and destroying the planet.
Now is the time
to create what we seek
through love,
in solidarity indivisible,
and be the world
of our desire.

He has separated himself

from love and life,

and allied himself

with hatred and death.

In the name and service

of greed,

he has given to the rich

and to the dishonest,

and stolen from those most

in need.

Who will follow?

in peace,
because I am
peace.

in justice,
because I am

in you,
because we are
one.
