His Mind Ranges Over the Galaxies

His mind ranges over the galaxies

as he listens, lonely,

for a response.

Son esprit parcourt les galaxies

comme il écoute, seul,

pour une réponse.

Su mente recorre las galaxias

mientras escucha, solo,

para una respuesta.

Sua mente percorre as galáxias

enquanto ele escuta, sozinho,

para uma resposta.

Yerushalayim of the Mind

Yerushalayim

Always hid among us,

Kindly awaiting the

Overthrow of war,

Veritable lotus of a thousand petals.

The Poet, at His Ease

 The poet, at his ease,

has only himself

to please.

His blessèd free time

needs no meter

and no rhyme.

No cloud in his sky:

in his world,

his rules apply.

91,000 Visits and a Big, Fat Fool

Yesterday we passed the milestone of 91,000 visits to this poetry/photography/writing blog. It's hard for me to write about this milestone against the background of tragic, needless death and destruction that we are currently living through in the United States of America. So I won't.

What I will say is that at the moment I am not yet committed to another major writing project. Any ideas? You can send your thoughts/recommendations to exolinguist at gmail dot com, or put them into a "comentario" on this blog post. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to make myself useful in one way or another.

As usual, I thank you all for your continued interest and enthusiasm. A better day is coming.

As the Fool Falls

 As the Fool falls,

his screams are heard,

while thousands die

without a word.

Psalm 31:25

 חִזְקוּ וְיַאֲמֵץ לְבַבְכֶם כָל־הַמְיַחֲלִים לַיהוה׃

Be strong and let your hearts take courage,
all you who hope in the Lord.

Proverbs / Mishle 3.3

 חֶסֶד וֶאֶמֶת אַל־יַעַזְבֻךָ קָשְׁרֵם עַל־גַרְגְרוֹתֶיךָ כָּתְבֵם עַל־לוּחַ לִבֶּךָ׃

Let not mercy and truth
be absent from you.
Hang them around your neck
and write them on the tablet
of your heart.
